Have I mentioned how much I love our Just4Kids Mini Sessions?  30 minutes with a baby or toddler is just enough time to capture their cuteness without wearing them  (or mom) out too much.  And I am always pleasantly surprised with how much variety we can get in a 30 minute session.  And my experience with Oliver was a perfect example of what I love about Mini Sessions.  I met him and his sweet mom when I did family minis at the park last fall.  And I was so excited to see them again at the studio last month.  He was so much fun to work with...I can't wait to continue watching him grow.

Here are a few of our favorites from his session!

"The best thing about having a sister was that I always had a friend."

-Cali Rae Turner

I thought this was the sweetest idea!

Two sisters, all grown up, with families of their own...but so connected to each other.

Alice and Annie decided to have a session done together.  I had the pleasure of working with them at the studio a few weeks ago.  I have a sister of my own...so it was so fun to watch these two in action.  It reminded me of how my sister and I interact.  There is something so special about the bond between sisters.  And it was so much fun capturing the love between these two!

"I smile because you're my sister. I laugh because there is nothing you can do about it." -Unknown

That last quote made me chuckle...and I think all the sisters out there will laugh as well!

I can't believe this is my first blog of 2016!  I spent the first few weeks of this month catching up on things around the studio and getting back into the swing of things after 2 weeks off with my kiddos and family in December.  I hope everyone has had a great start to 2016.  I am excited about what 2016 has in store for E.marie Photography...so be sure to stay tuned!

Hot off the presses today is this beautiful lady that I am fortunate enough to call my friend.  After years of using the same headshot, she decided to come in and get some updated portraits.  I am so glad she did...she looks beautiful.

If you are reading this and realizing that it is time for you to get an updated business or professional headshot as well, give me a call or contact us.  We would love to work with you!  We have tons of backgrounds to choose from here at the studio and you can do an outdoor session as well.

This is our third year working with Galloway's.  And we are so excited for another amazing year of dance photos.  I love working with Miss Jenn and her staff and students from year to year.  We are already gearing up for the recital photos that we will take at her studio in the spring.  We did something a little different this year...instead of waiting until we do recital photos to do the headshots for the competition team, we all met a few weeks ago to do some outdoor headshots.  It was a chilly morning...probably one of the only cold and windy days that we have seen in southern Louisiana this winter.  But these girls and boys were troopers and did an amazing job!  Aren't they all so adorable?!  And now the moms can proudly show off their photos and buttons all year long at their competitions and events.

You can see more information about our work with dance schools here.

What a fun session this was!  Patrick's Senior Portrait session started at our studio with cap and gown, tux and some in his football uniform.  He has played football for Salmen High for the last 4 years...so I was so glad he agreed to do some serious shots in his uniform.  And it was a family affair when we went to do his outdoor shots at Camp Salmen...his mom, dad and sisters all tagged along.  We had a great time and created some great images also.  This is one intelligent young man and I know that he has a bright future ahead of him.  Congrats on your upcoming graduation, Patrick!
