I have done a lot of blog posts about the fact that I have worked with the particular family in the photos for years.   My last blog post talked about doing the newborn portraits of a senior I photographed years ago.  I have recently found myself  taking photos of pre-teens that I did newborn photos for.  I LOVE the fact that I get to work with these families over the years and watch these kids grow up... it makes me so warm and fuzzy inside.  But it's also...

Senior portraits are so much fun!  And this session was no exception.  I met Jamie and her mom, Amy, at my studio in Slidell to start our session.  We did a few shots of the two of them together as I got to know them both.  We chatted a bit about NHS...Jamie attends Northshore and that is my alma matter.  Jamie told me about her theatre experience...so we just had to include a few props into the photos to incorporate that part of her senior year into her portraits....

This is my little boy, who wrapped up his first year of school in May.  I still can't believe how quickly Kindergarten flew by.  It's funny how things work out sometimes. Felton is interested in pursuing a career in photography...so he worked alongside me a bit this year for his Senior Research project.  It was fun having a sidekick...and he caught on super fast!  So of course we had so fun for his Senior session....with Mom and little brother in tow.  We laughed the whole time...what a beautiful family they have!  Here are a few favorites from his session. I was so honored when Charlotte's momma asked me to do her 6 months portraits for two reasons.  First and foremost, it is one of my absolute favorite ages to photograph.  But there was a bit of extra excitement for this particular session because Charlotte's mom and I went to school together.  So it was nice catching up with her as well.   I think it is safe to say that we are both planners...so we went in knowing exactly what we wanted out of the Just4Kids Mini Session....

I love, love, love this adorable family!  I have known them for years and I started doing their portraits with the adorable 3 year old in these images was a newborn.  So, of course, it was extra special taking her baby sister's newborn portraits.  And big brother and sister are so cute that we had to get some of them as well.  They ordered a precious custom-designed collage of their favorites to hang at home.  Framed collages are such a fun way to show off several...

I had a blast creating these images of Nicole at the studio a few months ago.  Her amazingly talented mom, Peggi, designs and produces custom dancewear...so she has an eye for fashion.  They brought in a few fun pieces and we had fun trying shots with different tops, jewelry and scarves.  Ms. Nicole is quite photogenic.  She submitted an image that we created together at a session last year and won the photogenic award at the 2014 VIP New Orleans dance competition.  And...
